As the Director of Communications, your role on the team will be to lead and drive the Nike Technology internal communications strategy. This high profile role will be responsible for building strategies and driving execution to engage Nike Technology employees. It will work in collaboration across the Communications function and in partnership with the business.

This role will lead a team of internal communications professionals to support the business and drive Nike Technology and Nike's corporate business messages across the Nike Technology internal audience. Additionally, as a lead communications position, the role will require an individual capable of managing complex and confidential topics.

The role will also be responsible for Nike Technology executive communications, primarily focused on building detailed strategies to support the CIO, and supporting the Nike Technology Senior Leadership Team's communications agenda where appropriate.

Key Job Accountabilities:
• Developing highly innovative and targeted communications strategies, messages and tactics that engage and deliver against Nike's corporate agenda of engaging, inspiring and empowering Nike Technology employees.
• Executing a portfolio of responsibilities (initiative communications, large scale meetings, digital communications, editorial planning, content creation).
• Lead a dynamic team to create engaging employee programs to support Nike Technology while fostering talent development.
• Proactively building and managing strategic relationships with key internal stakeholders across a range of business partners and technology functions
• Providing expert communications counsel to diverse groups and senior executives within Nike Technology.
• Ability to work with highly confidential materials across a wide spectrum of constituencies and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
• Managing and supporting crisis communications.

Desired Skills and Experience
What We're Looking For:
To make it clear, we're not looking for just anyone. We're looking for someone special, someone who had these experiences and clearly demonstrated these skills:

• Bachelor's degree (minimum) in journalism, PR, English, communications, business, or related field required.
• 10+ years professional experience in high profile corporate communications and/ or public relations roles supporting globally branded organizations.
• Management skills include high-profile communications, strategic planning, budgeting and creative solutions.
• Proven ability to communicate plans across a complex matrix on a corporate, regional and functional basis, including presenting before audiences of various sizes and cultures.
• Successful experience in working effectively at a high senior level brand management and a proven ability to provide guidance and direction to peers.
• Experience initiating and driving the ideation process contributing meaningful, innovative strategies to the business at concept stage.
• Experience leading and developing teams.
• Excellent written and spoken English required.
• Experience leading communications strategy for major events, across multiple vendor relationships.
• Deep understanding of evolving consumer communications environment and digital landscape.
• Knowledge of footwear or apparel industry is preferred.
• Experience working on high profile consumer brands is preferred.
