Job Purpose/Role
Responsible for developing and overseeing policy forms filing and issuance.

Key Responsibilities
Serve as a mentor by providing coaching, career development, and inter-departmental relationship management for the team.
Work collaboratively with corporate compliance, product provider, claims and customer service to develop compliant new products and resolve complex business issues.

Serve as a consultant on complex forms compliance matters.
Active participant on committees as needed providing forms compliance expertise.
Oversee the writing of policy language.
Oversee the preparing and management of state form, rate and rule filings that meet company business objectives.
Oversee the policy issuance creation process that meets company business objectives.
Effectively collaborate with corporate planning, finance, product provider, claims, sales, operations and marketing to foster a team approach to conducting business.
Directly supervise forms compliance management staff.
Participate in strategic planning initiatives.
Maintain processes and forms to ensure forms compliance; proactively and continuously work to identify broken processes; create, recommend and implement improvements or changes as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills and Experience
Key Requirements/Skills/Experience
Bachelor's degree in English, Business, Law or related field or equivalent combination of work and education experience.
Seven (7) to ten (10) years experience in compliance management.
Five (5) years of experience in forms compliance in the insurance industry.
ACP (Associate Compliance Professional), CCP (Certified Compliance Professional) or ARC (Associate in Regulation and Compliance) designation is preferred.
Familiarity with NILS, Westlaw or Lexus, and SERFF.
