Director - Finance - Fanatics - Jacksonville

Job description
The Director, Finance will be part of the Financial Planning and Analysis Team at Fanatics, a leading online retailer of officially licensed sports merchandise. This FP&A team has a high level of exposure to both internal and external executive leadership and to all functional groups within Fanatics. Primary responsibilities include ownership of all forward looking financial statements including the balance sheet, income statement and cash flows and being the first point of contact for all modeling requests to support external due diligence and internal planning and forecasting.


Responsibilities include:
Work closely with teams within Finance and Accounting and throughout the company including the Kynetic Holding Company to build and maintain detailed current year and long range forecasted financial statements
Build and maintain models to support planning / forecasting, equity and bank due diligence, covenant models and the supporting P&L, Cash Flow and Balance Sheets
Track and understand the key macro trends in the fan gear market including monitoring of multiples in the public markets, market sizing, competitive assessments
Partner with Operations and other departments with capital expenditure requests to calculate the present value of the related cash flows as justification for the spending.
Serve as a corporate level FP&A modeling lead for new decision tools and other ad hoc analyses
Function independently with minimal supervision and proactively deliver key projects
Develop and present materials for FP&A and Finance leadership on the financial statements

Desired Skills and Experience
Ability to create financial statements from ground up
High proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
Proficiency with general ledger accounting software
Highly analytical with the ability to work independently and manage several simultaneous projects
Self-directed, comfort with fast paced environment, must have a problem solving mindset
Strong communication skills necessary to convey data insights
E-commerce, or consumer/retail experience is preferred
5+ years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required; MBA preferred
