Director - Projects - Offshore Services - Heavy Lift - TETRA Technologies - The Woodlands
Job description
This position reports to the VP, Project Management and International Operations, and is responsible for the supervision of the Heavy Lift Project Management Team. Ensures the planning, executing, invoicing, and as-billed reporting of lump sum and technical day-rate projects are performed efficiently and professionally. Serves as liaison to operations, safety and accounting to provide safe, efficient and profitable execution of projects under direction.
Essential job duties include:
Support, comply with, and participate in HSE Program
Manage the estimating and bid revue processes to ensure a clear and concise statement of personnel, equipment, methodology, clarification and price is delivered to clients
Supervise all Project Management personnel within the Heavy Lift Department
Work with Engineering in all phases of pre-bid studies, job scoping, bid preparation, work site assessment, job planning and execution; ensuring that all drawings, calculations, lift points & pad-eye placements, etc. are accurate
Oversee project execution reviews to ensure all project execution components proposed by the project management team are sound; revue all scope of work procedures prior to submittal for client approval
Oversee the project management team to ensure personnel, equipment, material, methodology and time is utilized efficiently and safely
Oversee the troubleshooting and resolution of all project-related technical problems encountered by the project management team
Review and approve as-built reports prior to submittal
Oversee the negotiation and resolution of all conflicts encountered with clients and third parties
Oversee the cost and revenue tracking of all projects executed by the project management team
Support and participate in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program to conform with ISO 9001 requirements by complying with Quality Policies and Procedures and meeting Quality Objectives
Perform other duties as assigned
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Construction Management or other related Engineering field (or equivalent industry experience)
Minimum of 5-10 years of experience managing offshore installation or decommissioning projects
Professional Engineer (PE) certification highly desired
