Key Responsibilities:
• Lead account management team to deliver excellent customer service for existing publisher base while achieving inventory retention and growth objectives and driving distribution for new ad products
• Manage a team of Account Managers and Solutions Engineers while maintaining the day-to-day of GumGum’s publisher platform.
• Develop key reports and KPI’s to measure growth and platform health.
• Develop processes for Publisher Operations that create operational efficiencies and create a positive customer experience
• Work directly with VP of Publisher Development and Director of Publisher Sales to onboard strategic publisher accounts.
• Set quarterly goals for Account Managers and Solutions engineers, conduct weekly 1-on-1s and quarterly client business reviews to solicit feedback on GumGum’s product and performance.
• Manage ongoing account management upsell pipeline and new product distribution while maintaining an understanding of directional agency sales team needs.
• Work directly with VP of Publisher Development, Business Intelligence team and Director of Publisher Sales to build deal terms for long-term exclusive partnerships
• Work closely with product and engineering team to develop recommendations around ad executions by gathering relevant feedback from the marketplace and lead beta testing programs for new executions
• Collaborate with cross functional teams and team leads to ensure optimal experience for publisher partners and continued growth for GumGum’s platform
• Attend relevant industry conferences and events to represent GumGum and meet directly with strategic publisher partners
Required Experience
● B.A. degree
● 5 years at a fast paced startup where you’ve achieved success with limited direction.
● Ability to delegate and prioritize.
● Demonstrated ability to understand publisher trends and anticipate technical needs
● Proven capability to own a publisher product roadmap and vision.
● Demonstrated ability to take ownership of a task and drive it through to completion.
● Familiar with the publisher and ad tech landscape.
● Ability to be a player/coach and mentor others.
● Understanding of common publisher technical integrations such as header bidding and server-to-server.
● Preferred understanding of basic CSS/javascript principles.
