The Global Service Support organization (GSS) team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares, Strategic Supply Chain Management (SCCM), Field Operations, Product Training, and Technical Support. The GSS organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.

Job description:
Responsibilities:
This position is a unique combination of strategic and tactical/product management. The Director of Product Marketing owns the vision, strategies, and tactics for evolving our service infrastructure to keep pace with our customers’ requirements as they continue to focus on managing their production costs both for economic and competitive reasons while maximizing KLA-Tencor's market position.
Strategic responsibilities include generating a vision for service delivery infrastructure, defining requirements for the individual elements of that vision, aligning cross-functional stakeholders across multiple point product divisions, and justifying investment decisions.
Tactical responsibilities include engaging customers in evaluations to demonstrate value, creating offerings that capture that value, and communicating that value in support of service business development.
This position includes 30-50% of international travel.

Desired Skills and Experience
The selected candidate will have proven success in both strategic and tactical product management, including experience in the following:
Semiconductor capital equipment product management experience
Managing complex equipment service delivery
Developing or using knowledge base systems as a tool for delivering service
Defining and selling equipment service offerings
Participation in the equipment service delivery chain
Direct communication with customers
Experience in service sales or marketing
Demonstrated success leading large scale tactical and strategic projects
Key skills the candidate must have demonstrated include:
Ability to rigorously analyze large amounts of data and draw self-consistent conclusions
Ability to translate vision into components with associated functional requirements
Ability to set direction and make decisions based on ambiguous and sometimes conflicting input
Ability to identify and articulate compelling value proposition
Comfortable working and aligning across functional boundaries, both in a corporate and at point-of-service
Master's in Business Administration is desired
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 7 years of experience
OR
Master's Level Degree with at least 6 years of experience
