Edelman Digital is in search of a director-level digital and social media expert with experience handling social media for gaming or entertainment brands, to join our Los Angeles office. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
We are in search of a strategic Account Director to lead integrated marketing programs for some of the world’s leading gaming franchises.
At least 6 to 8 years of account leadership and strategy experience, preferably in an agency environment
Should possess superior client interaction skills—problem solving, negotiating, influencing, decision making—and be able to counsel clients’ top executive management on marketing issues, competitive analysis and new media/technology
Able to manage business and organizational models including finance and operations, and will have experience managing interdisciplinary teams on sizable pieces of business
Should have agency-wide responsibility for account profitability, new business solicitation, and quality of account service and employee development
Gaming or entertainment work experience required
Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or equivalent preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Exhibit solid understanding of key client information including general business strategy, industry issues, products and services offered, key customers and competitors in the marketplace
Oversee complex digital and social marketing programs on behalf of gaming clients in order to meet integrated marketing objectives
Manage multiple facets of client programs including strategy development, campaign execution, community management, and analytics and reporting
Be day-to-day lead with mid and senior level clients and be responsible for flawless execution of complex social communications strategies, web builds and various other projects
Understand online research techniques and methodologies, and use them to support development/execution of client campaigns
Exhibit strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and measurement approaches
Supervise staff by mentoring, motivating, coaching, consistently providing feedback, and holding them accountable
Lead client meetings and conference calls
Look for opportunities to develop business with existing and new potential clients
