Director - Treasury - Prudential - Newark

Job description
This position is responsible for supporting the BU Treasurer and Vice President in delivering all Treasury services, including all aspects of borrowing, liquidity and capital management, to the Individual Life and Closed Block businesses.

Primary responsibilities include:
• Analysis, monitoring and enhancement of the capital attribution/required equity and required capital process
• Supporting the business with developing, implementing and on-going monitoring of financing solutions
• Supporting the businesses in achieving capital efficiency
• Understanding cash flow generation of the businesses
• Supporting the business with Cash management efficiencies.

In order to carry out these functions, this position must work extensively with individuals in the business unit finance teams as well as other functional areas in order to manage the treasury functions. In addition, this position is directly responsible for personal assignments, as well as management of 1-2 associates.

Desired Skills and Experience
· Strong understanding of Corporate Finance and financial metrics of Prudential. Knowledge and understanding of the Individual Life and Closed Block businesses. This includes the overall organization and a thorough understanding of their business model.
· Working knowledge of statutory and GAAP accounting
· Management experience focused on developing talent
· The individual should also have experience in developing, implementing and managing processes that involve and impact multiple functional areas
· Collaborative and team-oriented work style
· Ability to drive results while building relationships throughout the business-
· Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
· MBA, CFA or CPA preferred
