Technology Service and Operations - Customer Innovation and Design
Location: New York City
Position: Technical Program Director

This role will interface with large enterprise customers, key technology partners and other 3rd parties to provide the technical leadership, world-class subject matter expertise, direction and hands-on expertise for current programs as well as architectural vision and direction for future integrated solutions.

The candidate will take ownership for fully integrated end-to-end solutions from innovation to roadmap to product development to implementation and in-life operational support and optimization of the enterprise’s voice infrastructure. The role will require broad technical expertise across multiple technologies including enterprise voice; contact center, unified communications, IP multimedia and integration of multiple different technologies in a large-scale voice infrastructure.

The candidate will successfully lead a number of matrixed technical, architectural and testing teams across customers, BT and critical partners. These teams are involved in the design of networks, systems architecture, support systems and services and in the development, integration, pre-production and in-life testing of the overall solutions. The individual will take ownership and be the escalation point for major customer technical and architectural issues and be responsible for the operational elements relating to the technical design.

Critical competencies:

Build strong relationships with C-level and senior management with BT’s customers and partners.

Be able to identify, collaborate and successfully leverage firm-wide BT people, technology, frameworks and templates to deliver the necessary architecture and technology supporting programs for customer’s enterprise voice and contact center environments

Work closely with client business partners, 3rd party partners, and BT delivery teams to deliver the architecture and technology supporting existing and future programs for customers very large enterprise voice and contact center environments

Be able to provide subject matter expertise in technologies including; session management, IP multimedia, SIP and TDM trunking and transport, inbound and outbound and toll free carrier services, media gateways, session border controllers, inter-networking, load balancing, voice and network security, TDOS, application interfaces, middleware, web services, gateways, SDK’s, IT services management, support and infrastructure services.

Identify emerging and roadmap opportunities within the areas within the enterprise voice and unified communications space. Establish short, medium, and long-range roadmaps for the integrated SIP, IP multimedia, enterprise voice and contact center solutions
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience
Must have experience working as a Lead Architect; Technical Architect; Chief Architect; Solution Architect; Design Leader; etc.
Must have experience designing and delivering into life enterprise voice network solutions including IPT, trunking and transport, contact center and applications
Must have in depth technical knowledge of either Cisco or Avaya IPT platforms, (or both) as well as understanding of the contact center architecture (Genesys, IVR, CRM, etc.)
Must have strong technical leadership skills in communications both with clients and suppliers
Strong organizational skills for direct and indirect management as well as being able to effectively run/manage technical teams
Proven success track with leading and directing architecture, engineering, integration, and testing functions as well as hands-on implementation and delivery experience with multi-vendor enterprise voice environments
Experience working across a range of vendors including Cisco, Microsoft, Avaya/Nortel, Sonus, Genband, Acme Packet, Aspect, Genesys, Audiocodes, Voxeo, Alcatel-Lucent, Asterisk
Expertise in cross-platform IPT and IP Multimedia integration with multiple vendors across Enterprise Voice and Contact Center solutions
Expertise in IETF SIP RFCs and successfully resolving interoperability issues between multiple vendor platforms in a heterogeneous Enterprise Voice and Contact Center environment
Expertise / strong working knowledge to support the integrating of most of the following products / platforms
- Alcatel-Lucent IP Multimedia System (IMS) Architecture to include 1360 Centralized Operations Manager, 5420 Personal Communications Manager, 5420 Converged Telephony Server, 5450 IP Session Controller, 8950 Services Activation Manager, 8650 Subscriber Data Manager, 8615 Instant enhanced Charging Collector Function, 8661 Directory Server, 5900 Media Resource Function
- Cisco Call Manager
- Avaya Communication Managers
- Avaya Application Servers
- Genesys SIP Server / Stream Manager Platforms

Significant knowledge of setting and deploying end to end / enterprise testing strategy, planning, execution, and closure in a multi-vendor heterogeneous Enterprise Voice and Contact Center arena to include
- Integration Verification, Validation, and Testing
- Network Integration Testing
- System Verification Testing
- Operational Readiness / Acceptance Testing
- Non-Functional / Performance Testing
- End User Testing
- End-to-end functionality testing
- Interoperability test pre-production roll-out
- Regression testing
- New application integration testing
Education, Desired Experience and Skills:
Degree in Telecommunications/Electronics/Engineering/Computer Science or 10+ years relevant experience
