Job Title: Global Director, Emerging Media & Digital Capabilities
Job Location: Hershey, PA
The Director, Global Emerging Media & Digital Capabilities is responsible for advancing the digital capabilities of The Hershey Company and its portfolio of iconic brands through proactive comprehensive digital and brand communications campaigns that are aligned with our company and brand strategies. The Director will build competitive advantage for The Hershey Company by elevating and improving our global digital presence across PESO (Paid, Earned, Shared Owned digital media) and increasing positive sentiment and share of voice in various social channels and traditional brand public relations.
Working closely with Marketing, Global Insights & Knowledge, Advanced Analytics, Information Services, Consumer Relations and Corporate Communications colleagues, the Director will drive consistent and innovative best practices across the digital ecosystem for cross-functional team.
The position will require development, execution and management of the Company’s comprehensive global digital ecosystem, including:
• Paid Digital
o Paid Digital Advertising
• Owned Digital
o Website Development
o Mobile Development
• Shared Digital
o Social Media Presence
• Earned Digital o Influencer Marketing

The Director will be expected to liaise with key internal stakeholders to continue to elevate Hershey’s digital presence internally and externally.
The Director Global Emerging Media & Digital Capabilities will manage three direct reports, including:
1. Sr. Manager, Emerging Media and Digital Capabilities US +Canada
2. Sr. Manager, Emerging Media and Digital Capabilities International
3. Sr. Manager Global Digital Content
In addition, He/she will have 8 other team members directly or indirectly reporting into this team
The position will also require experience working with a cross-functional team as it relates to digital crisis communications and will require participation on the Social Media Task Force. The Director may also serve as a Hershey spokesperson, related his/her areas of responsibilities.

Core Responsibilities:
• Oversee the development, execution and management of the company’s comprehensive digital ecosystem and digital programs
• Large focus on strategic planning development of emerging media/ digital best practices, efficient and effective resource allocation
• Oversee social media management and daily maintenance
• Collaborate with Marketing and Corporate Affairs to integrate digital/emerging media and public relations into priority brand activities to execute results-driven programs
• Establish and lead a practice for digital test-and-learn programs to maximize The Hershey Company’s resources that lead to scalable digital programs while continuously improving the consumer experience and adding positive sales ROI.
• Collaborate with Advanced Analytics team on measuring and evaluating overall effectiveness of digital programs to enable digital to drive long-term sustainable growth for the company
• Participate in cross functional team to lead digital shopper marketing capabilities across the organization. Development of key roles and responsibilities, including but not limited to creation of core processes for efficient and effective digital shopper marketing
• Partner with senior leadership and key cross functional stakeholders, including Marketing, Global Insights and Knowledge, Advanced Analytics Consumer Relations, Information Services, Corporate Communications to ensure alignment with business partner needs
• Maintain a strong working knowledge and thought leadership of existing and emerging digital technologies and platforms

Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (MBA highly preferred)
• Experience: 15+ years in Brand /Marketing Management serving in successively more senior positions
• Experience in global digital leadership and strategic development related to major company and commercial initiatives
• Experience overseeing comprehensive digital programming and engagement
• Experience in developing strategic digital shopper marketing capabilities
• Experience in creating efficient digital processes to improve communication to organization
• Experience executing integrated marketing programs
• Ability and willingness to review programs for efficiency and effectiveness through appropriate measurement standards
• Excellent writing and digital presentation skills
• Knowledge of and experience working with the media
• Social media crisis management/communications experience; global background helpful
• Ability to gain key stakeholder alignment
• Fiscally responsible in handling operating budgets
• Working knowledge and experience in agency management
• Large brand and consumer packaged goods experience helpful
