Senior Director - Corporate Public Relations - GoDaddy - Scottsdale

As GoDaddy continues its corporate transformation, a key element in executing against its strategy is effectively engaging and informing the public of the company’s strengths, supporting the corporate narrative and identifying opportunities to protect and promote the brand.

This isn’t just a job – it’s a key role in executing the company’s overall strategic goals. The right person has a track record creatively executing corporate communications activities that drive positive sentiment thereby creating enhanced value for the company, its products and leadership. The role requires a strong writer/content creator, who can partner with executives and senior stakeholders to get the job done.

This position reports to GoDaddy’s Chief Communications Officer, and will work closely with the senior director or product PR, social media, marketing leadership and other senior executives and stakeholders.
What you get to do:
Proactively developing media outreach strategies; Amplifying and maintaining a positive public image of the organization.
Creating and implementing corporate announcements, including financial communications
Working with product communication leaders to incorporate product and service value into the company’s evolving corporate narrative
Working with agencies, vendors and strategic partners
Assisting executives with media interaction, public speaking and corporate events
Manage small in-house team members
Execute external communications related to mergers and acquisitions, corporate priorities, corporate/brand messaging, financial events and other business/corporate news in conjunction with social media, product and internal communications
Some travel required
Do you have what it takes:
10+ years of communications experience and 3+ years of corporate communications experience, preferably in the high technology industry.
Demonstrated ability to define and develop corporate communications plan, construct and execute tactics to support the plan and measure results.
Ability to work with C-suite and senior executives, as well as multiple stakeholders across a global company; ability to create executive-ready content for company and leadership meetings.
Be highly creative, innovative and resourceful. Have a passion for not only the process, but the end results and driving business outcomes, as well.
Strong writing skills and the ability to leverage content.
Experience in leveraging social media tools as part of global communications programs.
The ability to manage multiple, complex priorities within demanding time-frames. Highly organized, and the ability to manage logistics/processes.
Documented successful performance in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
Strong analytic, oral/written communication, project management, multi-tasking, negotiation and decision-making skills.
Experience with technology products is a plus
Excellent interpersonal skills; ability of interface with all levels of the organization, including executive leadership team.
