Job Duties & Responsibilities
Reporting to the assigned Business Area is responsible for the technical, cost, schedule, quality, and risk management in the performance of AV Programs and is the primary customer POC.
Develops and performs to Program Execution Plans.
Directs and validates all tasks, milestones, technical, cost, schedules, and deliverables utilizing Program Management Reviews.
Coordinates requirements and acquires resources from functional management, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Quality, Field Services, Contracts, and Legal.
Interprets and executes corporate policy, develops budgets and performs fiscal management responsibilities.
Leads efforts to ensure customer satisfaction.
Provides training/guidance to subordinate personnel. Recommends personnel actions.
Works within broad policies and corporate objectives. Plans, assigns, and evaluates the work of subordinates.
Participates in the determination and direction of policy changes in meeting the needs of the customer relative to full life cycle support.
Interfaces with customer to ensure requirements compliance and needs met.
Develops new opportunities (customers and programs).
Provides business development, client management, proposal writing, and marketing support.
Coordination of contract and proposal activities related to full life cycle support.
Mentor project and program managers.

Desired Skills and Experience
Required Qualifications & Background
Bachelors’ degree in Engineering discipline preferred, advanced degree desired.
15 + years in similar capacity.
Education / Experience in aircraft subsystems in R&D environment desired.
Leadership / Management experience in production or engineering environment.
Experience managing a department or project budget.
Experience managing contracts with DoD or NASA a must.
Systems engineering knowledge.
Some travel required.
Excellent verbal and written skills.
Team player.
Strong computer skills.
Strategic thinking, planning and execution.
Office Environment.
