IT Director - Technical Delivery - Life Fitness - Chicago

Position Description:
This position will be responsible for the support and management of all IT application systems (both core and extended) for Life Fitness, ensuring that all systems are available to users and meet all service level requirements. Responsibilities will include managing an 18–20 person team with 2-3 direct reports in addition to departmental budgets. As part of the matrixed Brunswick global IT function, this role will have interaction with other Brunswick application teams throughout the world. This role will also manage services provided by outside/outsource providers for development supporting our applications. The position reports directly to the Life Fitness CIO / VP of IT and is a key member of the BC IT leadership team at Life Fitness.

Key Responsibilities
Manage all Oracle, Sales Force Dot Com and all ‘extended’ / bolt on application production support 24x7
Manage all Oracle EBS Core and Extended systems support, upgrade and maintenance
Management of Service Level Agreements – reliability, availability and performance levels for all Life Fitness systems
Manage Change Control at LF
Point person for all IT production and test environment operations at LF
Maintain relationship with BC IT Infrastructure and Divisional Application teams to stay informed of activities/plans of all application organizations throughout Brunswick Corporation
Manage staff responsible for the development, analysis and testing functions
Based on input from the business users and IT Strategic Consulting, estimates work effort, sets team priorities, allocates resources and tracks team progress
Maintain security and compliance (SOX, Internal Audit) for all LF Applications
Work closely with all other BC IT Application teams at other divisions (why?)
Stays tightly integrated to the LF Data Warehousing and E-Business development
Develop business case justification for future initiatives that include benefits, resource requirements, risk areas, costs, timeframe and operational implications
Vendor management for all applications and consultants
Hire staff and conduct staff performance appraisals and salary administration
Develop and execute team, division, corporate and BC IT vision and goals
Manage and as appropriate escalate overall risks and issues (to?)
Facilitate technical application education across the organization

Job Knowledge/Experience:
10 + years of combined experience with IT operations, customer service, database management, , project management and systems development life cycle
Strong cross-functional business knowledge
Project Management proficiency
Financial analysis skills
Understands best practices and has implemented programming, analysis, and testing
Has senior level project management experience including project estimation, project planning, critical path methods, risk management, project monitoring, communication and change management practices
Technical proficiency and aptitude – analytical skills and sound technical foundation

Education:
B.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
M.B.A. in Business, or equivalent experience – preferred
Working knowledge of PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge); Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute (PMI) or a Certified Project Manager (CPM) preferred.
