Global HSE Director - RigNet - Houston


Job description
The Global HSE Director is responsible for developing, planning and directing the Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) programs and policies to achieve defined Company performance at all Company facilities and for all RigNet resources, consistent with RigNet values.
The RigNet HSE programs are highly aligned with major customer programs and compliant with customer, industry and regulatory requirements consistent with major world-wide energy enterprise requirements.
The Global HSE Director resides at RigNet headquarters as part of the Global Operations team. The Director works with and through Hemisphere and TSI operations management and with other Global resources such as Human Resources, Finance, Legal, Engineering and IT to develop, improve and manage programs.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops and manages programs and activities to strategically align RigNet with major customer HSE policies and values. At a minimum, this mandates compliance with customer requirements to qualify to bid, to provide services and to allow Company resources to work at customer facilities. Compliance requires successful participation with external audits.
Directs compliance with international, federal, state and local rules, regulations and standards for HSE consistent with major world-wide energy enterprise requirements.
Represents the Company in industry organizations, taking leadership roles as appropriate, and interfaces with regulatory agencies as required.
Develops and implements training programs that meet internal, industry and mandatory applications such SEMS and OSHA to provide a safe, incident free workplace using behavior-based and metrics-driven measures of safety.
Assures that the Company’s HSE Information Management System and data entry for incidents and credentials is timely and accurate for Company, customer, regulatory and industry requirements. Information management and delivery are for both internal and external systems such as ISNet, DISA, PEC, etc.
Provide leadership and mentoring to RigNet resources on HSE matters throughout the Company either in direct organization or through other Global and Hemisphere operations.
Prepares studies and analysis of incidents and injuries examining root causes and potential hazards to health and safety for use by Company personnel and outside agencies.
Directs the inspection of Company facilities to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, determine preventive and corrective measures where indicated, and follow-up to ensure measures have been implemented.
Participates in the administration of the Company’s worker’s compensation and risk management program with applicable internal and external stakeholders.

Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, technology or related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
Minimum 10 years related experience
Demonstrated ability to lead a successful and robust HSE program in an international multi-facility, services environment.
Advanced analytical skills to perform root cause analysis and resolve operational incidents and set a corrective action/course.
Must be a driver of HSE requirements and capable of coordinating the design, build and implementation of quality HSE solutions.
Must have demonstrated success in leading and managing systems and processes.
Experience in dealing with third party audit groups.
Experience with vendor qualification protocols and customer audits.
Excellent verbal, written, presentation and organizational skills and abilities.
Experience dealing directly with major customers – experience with oil & gas operators and/or service companies considered a plus
HSE related certifications a plus (i.e. ASP, CSP, CWCP, PSM, CHMM/P, ISO 18001).
Ability and willingness to work internationally
