As a director of the software engineering division, you will apply your extensive knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and envision future improvements to the architecture.

Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

Soft Skills
At least 18 years of experience
Has lead highly successful, productive, customer focused teams on J2EE/C++ based projects
Ability to work with managers and able to make them accountable and focused
Able to network globally across teams as and when required
Ability to lead projects across virtual teams
Ability to keep a very strong customer focus in all tasks
Ability to prioritize on all important tasks and report as required
Very strong communication skills with a history of making effortless presentations in front of any audience

Technical Skills
Strong background in J2EE/C++, Object oriented programming, Multithreaded programming
Strong background in debugging skills on Windows and Unix (gdb/dbx)
Strong background of Database and SQL
Ability to understand complex code very quickly and become hands on if necessary
Demonstrate knowledge in new technologies
Having strong focus on customer satisfaction
Must be able to multi-task and deal with changing priorities
Excellent team player capable of working well in and across teams
Desired Skills and Experience
Knowledge of FMW and IDM domain
