Director - Portfolio Management - GE Healthcare - San Ramon


Job description
As the Director of Portfolio Management of Analytics you will be responsible for creating the vision and strategy for cohesive analytic solutions. This role will also identify business epics and drive feature prioritization towards Predix For Healthcare platform releases. Additionally, this role will leverage third party partnership to enhance the features of the Predix for Healthcare platform towards Analytics solutions. This role will drive clarity by defining and prioritizing the analytics feature objectives, critical success factors and deliverables. This role will be a member of the portfolio management team which will play the stewardship role for Portfolio Vision of GEHC SW in partnership with the Software Center of Excellence (COE).
As a Director of Portfolio Management you will work on:
Product management
Be the external face for Predix for Healthcare platform to GEHC Healthcare P&Ls, leadership team and Software COE to channel inputs, updates, expectations and feedback on Analytics portfolio.
Leverage the GEHC process (technology plans, product planning (Blue Print) and Financial planning) to identify business epics of Analytics to be delivered by Predix for Healthcare & Predix, track and monitor the realization of the same.
Own the definition and development of the business epics & features in collaboration with portfolio management team & chief architect’s office for the Predix for Healthcare platform.
Stewardship of portfolio vision - no duplication of anything new being built and also drive the GEHC analytics strategy including partnerships.

Support product management

Prioritize and create a release plan with the “Predix for Healthcare” & Predix program management teams.
Support the product owners to develop user stories for each release plan
Funnel / prioritize the various technology development for SW POC teams

Operations management

Drive operating mechanism with business partners for the specific areas and with platform engineering teams on the release plan/ progress
Governance of adoption and “feature development” for enterprise solution deployment
Appropriately represent Predix for Healthcare in the operating mechanism with modalities (engineering, marketing), CTO and GEHC solution, connect and fastwork teams
Drive operating mechanism with business partners for the specific areas and with platform engineering teams on the release plan/ progress
Governance of adoption and “feature development” for enterprise solution deployment
Appropriately represent Predix for Healthcare in the operating mechanism with modalities (engineering, marketing), CTO and GEHC solution, connect and fastwork teams

Desired Skills and Experience
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree within appropriate Engineering/Science discipline
12 years of technical experience
5 years of leadership experience in the Healthcare domain
5 years of demonstrated program management and business planning processes, having experience with the full product lifecycle
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States full-time
Must be willing to work in our San Ramon, California or our Seattle, WA facility full-time
Must be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection process
Must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including for example, verification of your past employment, criminal history, and educational background

Desired Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
Strategic planner and thinker with ability to drive change across the segment products
Sound technical and domain experience in at least one functional technology area – preferably in Analytics.
Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task
Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously.
Ability to influence and drive strategy in a matrix environment
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Keen attention to detail.
Ability to manage conflict towards a constructive outcome
Familiarity with Scaled Agile development
