Director - Network Provider Sales - EdgeConneX - Washington


Job description

The Director, Network Provider Sales will pursue selling opportunities in the Network Provider channel by prospecting/lead generation through existing relationships, outbound sales calls, referrals and qualified leads to meet or exceed monthly sales objectives. The defined territory consists of telecommunications companies, cable companies and ISP’s that provide internet network services to end user consumers.

Duties
Consistently achieve and exceed sales quotas, build relationships and develop key contacts by using a consultative sales approach to successfully sell Edge Data Centers and other Edge Infrastructure to Network Providers.
Prospect from provided resource lists, researching and developing a sales pipeline.
Identify and properly qualify sales opportunities.
Analyze customer needs and create and articulate a value proposition to C-Level executives and key decision makers.
Prepare formal proposals, lead negotiations, coordinate complex decision-making processes, and overcome objections to closure.
Understand the decision process of the customer and execute a sales strategy reflective of the complex nature of the sales process.
Represent all of the capabilities of EdgeConneX to prospective and existing customers.
Maximize sales to customers by coordinating with the team members responsible for selling services that EdgeConneX offers other than Edge Data Centers when appropriate.
Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to management in a timely and consistent manner.

Desired Skills and Experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience selling Data Center Services preferred, other Technology sales experience considered
Strong prospecting, persuasion, closing and negotiation skills
Proven track record of success in a sales role (i.e. President’s Club Winners, Achieving top 5% of sales for a company, etc.)
Self-starter with the ability to work in startup environment
Demonstrated executive presence and mature attitude to help the company grow and improve
Extensive industry contacts
Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
Demonstrated ability to overcome obstacles and objections
Enthusiastic drive to succeed with obvious confidence and competitive skills
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels and functions
Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously
Integrity, creativity, intellectual curiosity, high standards, persistence, and achievement

Experience and Education
5+ years of experience in complex technology and solutions sales
Strong experience with CRM tools, MS Office and technologies required to succeed in the telecommunications industry
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
Travel Requirements
Must be able to travel on short notice, travel may exceed 50%
