Director - Communications - EMC - San Francisco

Job description
The Director of Communications will play a key role in defining, leading and executing the Emerging Technology Product Division’s (ETPD) internal and external communication strategy. The ETPD division includes XtremIO (EMC’s all flash storage array), DSSD (EMC’s rack scale flash storage offering), Data Compute Appliance (a converged infrastructure offering jointly designed by EMC and Pivotal) and VSPEX (a converged infrastructure, reference architecture program).

The Director of Communications for Emerging Technology Products Division (ETPD) Communications is responsible for:
Establishing and executing a Communication Strategy for ETPD.
Owning the presentation for external and internal industry events (e.g. EMC-World)
Key deliverables will include all-hands presentations, written communications, top-talent related communications, global site visit strategy etc …

Desired Skills and Experience
Key skills include presentation skills, written skills and knowledge of IT industry (with emerging information infrastructure begin preferred; such as flash storage or big data).
This role with interact frequently with senior management in a cross-functional manner (i.e. Engineering, Product Marketing, Sales). To be successful in this role, attitude matters. We are looking for smart, fun professionals with “can do” attitudes. ETPD consists of professionals, independent of title or seniority, who are not afraid to roll-up-their sleeves and get work done to help out the great ETPD team.
