Director - Planning - ViTRO - San Diego
Job description
VITRO is a looking for a Planning Director to join VITRO’s growing Strategy team. As a Planning Director, you will help lead the execution of all insight discoveries for new and existing business. You will be responsible for the planning, development, and execution of our strategic initiatives. As our Planning Director, you will play an active role as a subject matter expert and develop company-wide perspective on our client’s user trends.
Responsibilities include:
Provide strategic guidance on the business, in concert with account management
Lead consumer insight development (including primary and secondary research, as needed)
Develop briefing documents based on mining of strategic insights (across consumer, culture, category and company)
Develop brand architectures and other strategic deliverables, as needed
Own creation of campaign architecture and communications planning deliverables that will guide campaign development (with oversight by department head)
Lead creative briefing sessions and liaise with creative teams throughout the development process
Partner with Media department on development of consumer connections and channel plans
Partner with Digital colleagues on engagement planning and incorporating digital strategy into overall campaign architecture
Craft and deliver strategic presentations
Along with department head, work on continually evolving strategic planning frameworks
Remain abreast of key cultural, consumer and marketing communications/innovations trends
Demonstrate facility with 3rd party research tools (e.g., Simmons/MRI, iconoculture, Mintel)

Strong self-motivated and self-starting personality
