Director of Information Technology
The Director of Information Technology for Lahlouh, Inc. is a strategic and operational position focused on Lahlouh’s smooth and efficient operations. This position reports to the President/COO and will collaborate with him regarding special IT projects and major IT investments.
The Director’s primary function is strategic technology decision-making — maintaining and improving the performance and offerings of the Company’s information services. The senior technologist will have overall responsibility for the IT department-- to ensure proper operation and to seek ways to improve processes and workflow-- leveraging technology, while managing and developing departmental resources.
The Director will develop a working knowledge of the Company’s operating needs – to ensure that technology and effective processes will support the business’s needs. The Director will seek to drive efficiency in the business’s operations and will provide a framework for other managers to do the same.
The Director must have strong communications and collaborative skills – in order to define, articulate, and champion the ways in which technology can have a positive impact on the Company’s business.

Information Technology and Services
The Director of IT will create value for the Company by managing technology and developing staff to facilitate reliable and optimized operations and business processes.
Responsible for general oversight of the Information Technology department.
As a senior technologist, manage and ensure proper operation of the Company’s computing environment.
Strategic technology decision maker for maintaining and improving the performance and offerings of the information services utilized by the Company’s employees.
Create and manage the annual IT budget, balancing capital and operating costs with Company technology needs – offering the best value for the business’s technology investment.
Work in collaboration with the President to keep abreast of business changes, to determine which special projects outside of normal IT operations the department will undertake and any resource constraints that need to be considered.
Research and implementation of potential ERP system.
Present reports and data in a clear and useful manner for analysis, discussion, monitoring and decision-making.
Facilitate cross-functional teams for discussions leading to the selection, design, deployment, and overall success of improvement projects and workflow effectiveness.
Assist in standardizing systems, processes, policies/procedures and tasks in all areas of the Company – leading to increased business efficiency.
Accountability and leadership in acquiring new assets and services.

Responsibility Breakdown
Development and timely implementation of projects and initiatives (50%)
Technical operational tasks involved in maintaining equipment (20%)
End user support (20%)
Non-technical/tactical tasks involved in running IT department (10%)

Process Analysis & Development Tasks
Works with existing technologies to ensure that Lahlouh derives full value from purchased products and fully utilizes these products’ features.
Analyzes opportunities for consolidation of technology efforts.
Reports results of analysis to President for prioritization based on largest business impact.
Purchases or develops (when applicable) hardware, software tools and applications to implement process improvements.
Has an extensive knowledge of the software used to run the business and suggests improvements on software use.
Works on tools to improve the usefulness and reduce the limitations of key software.

Operational Tasks –Responsible for managing and maintaining Network & Systems Administration -
Company software licensing and upgrades
Third party maintenance of all servers
IT staff and consultants (as needed)
Workstation set-up and support
Telephone system
Company presence on internet
Company intranet and VPN
Ownership of network, facilities and data security and controls
Ensure that purchasing of resources accomplishes tasks consistent with the available budget
Train employees on best practices and effective use of equipment and software
