Tax Director - Purchase - PepsiCo - New York

Job description

Research and Planning:
Contribute to achieving the lowest sustainable effective tax rate.
Contribute to initiatives which lower the cash tax rate.
Provide support to all functions of the corporate tax department.
Communicate relevant tax data to facilitate planning efforts.

Tax Analysis:

Manage a cross functional team to review selected foreign tax returns for potential tax opportunities and documentation for audit defense.
Identify potential structural changes that create tax efficiencies.
Maintain a centralized resource for key tax attributes.
Manage the documentation of the company's foreign tax credit position.

Tax Advice:

Provide tax advice addressing issues arising in connection with PepsiCo's business divisions, treasury and legal.
Provide technical tax support to, and team with, the tax audit group in defending planning positions.
Work with the compliance group to properly report tax planning projects.

Management:

Lead team based initiatives and interdisciplinary projects.
Develop strong relationships with business partners.
Maintain a focus on continuing to develop technical tax expertise and a deep knowledge of the business.
Foster an environment of trust and inclusion.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 6 years corporate tax experience, including at least 3 years at a "Big 4" accounting firm or a law firm.
MST, LLM or MBA a plus.
Ability to generate creative ideas and solutions, prioritize and deliver results.
Strong analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-starter with proven ability to manage multiple projects in time-constrained environments.
Demonstrated ability to build and lead cross-functional teams.
