Director - Sales and Operations Planning - NetApp - Sunnyvale

Job Summary
As a Director, Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) you will utilize strong management and technical competencies to set objectives and develop strategies for subordinate level managers and teams. You will manage a department responsible for driving strategic plan alignment and tactical plan achievement across the company. You will lead and facilitate the monthly S&OP planning process, ensuring plans are synchronized in future fiscal quarters and key disconnects across functions are resolved. This role must ensure S&OP processes are in compliance and will oversee the S&OP Dashboard to measure process effectiveness. You are responsible for setting program goals, plans and schedules, closely monitoring program execution, driving issue resolution and accepting the responsibility for ensuring successful achievement of program goals.
Essential Functions:
• Drive monthly strategic S&OP processes and plan development
• Identify strategic disconnects requiring monthly discussion and action
• Develop and distribute monthly business assumptions packages
• Ensure regional and business unit S&OP processes and plan development adhere to global standards
• Identify key tactical disconnects requiring weekly discussion and action
• Manage all ongoing S&OP process, logistics, action plans and issue resolution and tracking; facilitate S&OP meetings
• Maintain relationship with relevant stakeholders to drive improved decision-making and accountability across the executive team

Requirements:
• Ability to rapidly absorb and simplify volumes of complex quantitative and qualitative data to facilitate cross-functional decision making
• Proven ability to lead and facilitate executive-level individuals and working teams through cross-functional decision-making processes
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Exceptional negotiation and conflict resolution skills
• Excellent oral and written communications skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders
• Proven record of successfully driving organizational change
• Relevant experience in key elements of S&OP processes and meetings
• Self-starter with excellent organization skills
• Aptitude to define operational requirements and implement processes and systems to support those requirements
• Ability to remain neutral, unbiased in decision making
• Excellent knowledge of product lifecycle, tools, processes, and operations planning.
Education & Experience:
• A minimum of 8 to12 years of experience in Operations, Sales, Sales Operations, Finance or Supply Chain Planning; minimum 5 of years’ experience in a management role in a technology company
• BA or BS degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or Operations; MBA preferred
