Director - Marketing - GoHealth - Chicago
Job description
The Director of Marketing will provide leadership, support, vision and guidance for GoHealth’s Business to Business Marketing Team and will manage all aspects of the company’s business to business marketing efforts, from planning to budget management to strategy development. The ideal candidate must be experienced with online marketing and campaign development. This person will need to thrive in a fast-paced environment and must be adept at interfacing effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. Additionally, the Director of Marketing will develop sales tools and presentations while taking the company’s branding, messaging and market presence to the next level.
Principal Responsibilities:
Manage overall corporate brand equity and identity.
Develop innovative and sustainable marketing programs that drive incremental client acquisition through direct sales lead generation.
Lead creation and implementation of marketing campaigns from conception through metrics
Create a communication strategy and drive alignment of all related marketing communications, ensuring consistent delivery
Partner with creative and web team to develop effective marketing campaigns to be leveraged across all channels
Build and implement successful short and long term marketing plans that include sales materials, brand building, corporate communications, webinars, media coverage, trade shows, social media, company website, campaigns, whitepapers and partner support.
Demonstrate significant knowledge of health insurance marketing and perform in a leadership role with client brand teams when needed
Provide market trend insights and strong industry knowledge to the Management Team
Motivate and maintain the Marketing Team by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees
Maintain cross functional relationships with Sales, Lead Generation, Creative Services and Technology as well as external parties.
Provide short and long term market forecasts and reports by directing market research collection, analysis and interpretation of market data
Develop marketing financial strategies by estimating, forecasting and anticipating marketing requirements, trends and variances; aligning monetary resources; developing action plans; measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances
Develop, manage, implement and evaluate lead generation sources/vendors/programs including PPC advertising, SEO efforts, Pay-per-lead campaigns, webcasts, online seminars, etc.
Develop and execute upon a database marketing strategy based upon the organization’s segmentation of the market
Aid sales leadership in developing a prospect & market segmentation strategy.
Work closely with Sales Leadership to manage the sales pipeline, establish and measure KPI’s throughout the sales pipeline that will directly impact revenue.
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field. Masters degree preferred.
6+ years experience in Marketing and Business Management, with at least 5 years in directly managing a marketing team.
Marketing experience within the health insurance industry
Strong leadership and consensus building skills
Ability to multi-task and deal with ambiguity, manage multiple priorities simultaneously in fast-paced environments.
Detail and result oriented, hands-on individual, who displays confidence and able to make commitments and deliver on them
Demonstrated ability to combine strategic and analytical skills with creative and visual skills
Strong communication & interpersonal skills
Metrics driven with demonstrated analytics capabilities focused on measuring the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and other lead generation programs
Extremely proficient in computer programs such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
B2B sales and/or on-demand software lead generation experience.
Experience working with diverse distribution channels, ideally experience working with independent agent distribution
Experience in start-up / growing company environments
Working knowledge of Google Analytics
Salesforce, Sugar and NetSuite CRM knowledge or working knowledge of enterprise driven CRM solutions
HTML Experience
SEO & PPC knowledge
Email service suite knowledge
