Senior Video Producer - Amazon - Seattle


Job description
The Senior Video Producer leads and manages client engagements and is responsible for overall internal client satisfaction, quality of service, and on-time, on-budget completion of on-site and off-site video deliverables to support product launches and ongoing product demand. The successful candidate will be the focused, single threaded leader, building and managing a team of producers, animators, motion designers, and copywriters to develop video for on-site and off-site use. You must have a passion for fantastic creative work, be able to sell through innovative ideas to internal stakeholders and oversee the implementation of video projects end-to-end, and deliver this work with the best quality possible.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for overall creative and production leadership of video ideation and development, supporting internal business leaders and objectives, while and overseeing all producers and teams from beginning to end of each projects life cycle.
- Responsible for video project staffing and allocations, internal client satisfaction, prioritization of all deliverables, and ensuring quality of work meets agency standards and our objectives
- Develop an engagement strategy with business leaders and work cross functionally to execute it, driving project success and overall team utilization (goals, deliverables, schedule, budget, resources)
- Engages cross functionally with Amazon business leaders to develop ideas, storyboards, scripts, animatics that support product launches and the overall device portfolio.
- Manage the project with both internal and external agency, negotiating statements of work where necessary, making sure work is delivered on budget, on time, and matches the high quality bar.
- Work with business leaders and overall internal team to develop videos that clearly communicate product and services differentiation, engage consumers, and convert video watchers to customers.
- Participate in strategic development of ideas, both for on-site video and broadcast ideation.
- Can think quickly under pressure, as well as motivate and engage the team to produce the best possible results while meeting deadlines and performing essential job duties while working under pressure.
- 8 to 10 years in an agency or client side industry or related experience, developing interactive product centric video projects and managing large creative teams.
- Minimum of 6 years in TV or Video production, especially in reality, documentary, entertainment news etc., with a deep understanding of linear storytelling and post production process
- BA/BS Degree
- Demonstrated ability to work with fellow producers, directors, talent, post production, camera operators, and audio producers to deliver web based videos at high quality and on time.
- Supervise all aspects of pre-production and production of product videos, including scheduling and budget planning, pre-production research, and traveling to direct, produce, and manage crews for location shoots.
- Collaborate on all aspects of post-production and publishing, including reviewing footage, writing scripts, supervising editing and post-production, securing legal permissions, and making certain all assets and supplementary materials are ready for Web publication.
- You’re skilled at overseeing the nimble production of compelling, high quality video with diverse stylistic approaches, that include how-to as well as narrative storytelling
- You possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- You’re highly organized, and take pride in your attention to detail and high-quality execution of work.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of digital video production processes, workflow, and platforms.
- Experience using Final Cut Pro, Adobe Photoshop and After Effects or alternate editing systems like Avid or Adobe Premiere.
- Experience with DIY video production (audio recording, HD camera operation, lighting, still photography with DSLR camera)...
- Basic understanding of content management systems and DAM a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage video editing and encoding formats.
- Ability to define solutions that will generate measurable results for internal business leaders, measured in brand perception, customer engagement and sales conversion.
- Broader understanding of the overall advertising experience, how all types of media - online and offline - are executed.
- Sample Reel of original video programs or segments produced for web or broadcast media
- Extreme versatility and ability to adapt to a multitude of different circumstances with limited resources, and keep smiling
- Strong writing skills and level of creativity
- General unflappability, independent spirit and optimistic outlook
- BA/BS Degree
