Car Toys / Wireless Advocates seeking a Director of Infrastructure Services to join the enterprise team at our Headquarters in Seattle, WA!
Director of Infrastructure Services Core Functions
(Technical Architecture, Risk Management, Information Security, Audit Controls, Investigations, Network Services (LAN, WAN, INTERNET, INTRANET, EXTRANET, WIRELESS MOBILITY)
Business advisor to Car Toys and Wireless Advocates lines of business providing technical thought leadership, solution alternatives, setting technology standards & procedures, delivering predictable operations and guidance for Information Technology including Technical Architecture, End User Services, Risk Management, Investigations, Security, and Network Services capabilities:
Technical Architecture (LAN, WAN, Broadband, Satellite)
Risk Management (Information Security, Disaster Recovery, Compliance)
End-User Services (End User Computing, Productivity Tools, Telephony, Break/Fix, New location set-up)
Network Services (Network Connectivity, Internet Service Providers, System Performance Monitoring)
Demonstrated experience with ERP solutions across distributed business model with a diverse set of distribution points
Partner with Car Toys and WA Leadership Team to identify and position IT Investments to the end user and field experience.
Build close effective working relationships with Car Toys and WA field employees, customers, and suppliers at all levels providing seamless support services to all of all lines of business and channels.
Collaborate with Business Leadership Team to ensure service levels are consistently defined across all disciplines of Information Technology. Simplify and stabilize Car Toys and WA technology environment.
Manage business risk by ensuring information is secure, protected, and that the business can be recovered in the event of a disaster.
Desired Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7-10 years of experience leading complex multi-functional teams.
Four-year degree in Information Technology or related technical field or equivalency of education and work experience.
The ideal candidate will have led part of an IT organization in comparable customer focused distributed organizations offering highly tailored front-line solutions working with carriers and partners.
Proven people leadership and team building skills – must have experience leading, coaching, and growing talent.
The successful candidate will be a strong and persuasive communicator, both with technical and business communities, throughout the organization.
Ability to coordinate across organizational boundaries, and demonstrate “added value” in his/her efforts defining, establishing, and delivering technically sound and affordable solutions.
Experience developing business cases and solution sets designed to help Car Toys and WA strengthen their competitive position.
Ability to rapidly analyze complex and ambiguous situations and to devise insightful technology solutions. Also, ability to implement these solutions across the entire organization in the most optimal way.
Proven experience as a field-focused, change-driving leader. The successful candidate will establish immediate credibility as an extremely capable technology leader who also understands how businesses operate and make money.
Strong and inspiring coach and leader; able to balance role of business advisor and technologist with a sense of urgency to deliver results.
Demonstrated experience successfully leveraging third-party providers – excellent supplier relationship skills.
Understands the key principles and dynamics surrounding a diverse distributed retail environment
