Director - Foodservice Marketing - Woodmoor Group - Wisconsin


Job description
Salary: $120K to $150K, plus a 15% bonus target
Education: Degree in Marketing or Business, MBA with a Marketing emphasis preferred.
Experience: 10+ years of significant B2B Marketing experience required, along with 5 years of direct supervisory experience and demonstrated success with brand building and achieving brand targets. Food Industry experience strongly preferred. Any of the following experience would be a plus: B2C marketing/sales, customer business team and trade development.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership to the cross-functional Foodservice Business Unit
• Lead development of both the long range and annual plan for the foodservice business.
• Establish and manage Foodservice marketing budgets assuring the organization optimizes returns while remaining within approved guidelines.
• Develop and apply strategic insights to guide business in addressing needs across the entire foodservice value chain.
• Maximize brand awareness, brand image and market penetration with FS targets.
• Communicate regularly with Sales and Key Customers to ensure proper execution of plans, collection of market intelligence, and other insights to promote marketing strategies and tactics.
• Lead the development and implementation of annual business plan supporting the overall company long-range strategic plan.
• Manage activities supporting Customer Relationship Management and Trade Shows.
• Lead analysis and recommendation efforts surrounding competitive analysis, new product development, and marketing research.
• Provide leadership for interaction with the Sales Team and the Foodservice Industry.
• Lead the Foodservice business in developing company’s presence beyond the QSR segment utilizing Internal Reports, Syndicated Reports and Custom Research.
• Constantly assess the competitive landscape and trends to evolve marketing strategy
• Develop a rolling three-year NPD pipeline and annual SKU portfolio management.
• Oversee development of concepts, packaging, and communications materials to support NPD.
• Coach, mentor and ensure the professional development of direct reports and the entire Foodservice Marketing Team

Desired Skills and Experience

• Strong analytical, strategic business and marketing skills.
• Advanced proficient in marketing fundamentals: brand strategy and positioning, portfolio architecture, communication strategy and activation planning and execution.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
• Comprehensive understanding of marketing research methodologies
• Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills
• Ability to use advanced mathematical concepts.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with customers and across multiple functions and levels of the organization.
• Ability to develop teams and individuals to reach full potential.
• Advanced computer literacy with Word, Excel and PowerPoint
