Job description

Tagged is seeking a design director to lead the design practice at Tagged for both web and mobile platforms. This position works closely with the leads of Product and Engineering to ensure that beautiful, technically feasible and viable products are shipped. As the leader of the Tagged Design team, you will be responsible for delivering an experience that will be in the hands of millions of people every day. We think that's a pretty awesome opportunity.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:
Lead, guide and build our team of incredibly talented designers
Support User Experience strategy and innovation
Motivate a team of designers, inspiring and mentoring them to do their best work
Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in visual interface design and apply this to the development, execution, and improvement of products across web and mobile platforms
Ensure new user experiences are produced at standards that uphold/elevate the company's brand identity.
Build cross-functional relationships and interact daily with the Product, Engineering, Marketing and other functions as appropriate
Manage design deliverables
Create the visual language strategy (brand applications, visual design specs, information design, color systems, typographic rules, grid systems and other visual assets) for medium-sized, diverse projects that support the brand strategy and user goals
Work with product team to develop strategic direction as well as pixel perfect designs for products in the mobile and web space
Mentor Associate Designers and Designers in day-to-day design methodology and principles
