Job description
Position Summary:
The Director, Compensation will fill an important role on the global compensation team by serving as the head of Compensation for the Global Customer Experience Organization and being a strategic leader within HR. In this role, you will be a highly leveraged consultant demonstrating a depth of technical expertise and interacting directly with senior level executives. You will also have the opportunity to drive the incentive plan design process for the GCX business which is a plan unique to GCX with ~2,000 participants. In addition, this role will play a key part across eBay Inc. in improving manager effectiveness in making compensation decisions.

Principal Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day thought leadership, training, communications and consultation/guidance on compensation, incentives and recognition
Influence executives, leaders and HR Business Partners by providing detailed analysis/models, innovative recommendations, and expert advice
Own the GCX incentive compensation program design and ensure the plan contributes to business success, in partnership with HRBP's, GCX operations and GCX leadership
Support the implementation of all on-going compensation programs such as Focal, bonus and stock programs
Support the design of any unit specific incentive or retention plans
Identify and develop ideas to enhance the effectiveness of the company's compensation programs and processes
Take the lead or participate in enterprise-wide compensation projects
Develop pay proposals for executives (e.g. annual salary, bonus and stock recommendations and promotional increases) in partnership with the Senior VP and HR Business Partner
Provides support on retention initiatives
Support job design and job evaluation initiatives
Basic Qualifications:

BS/BA or equivalent, 15+ years compensation experience
Demonstrates strong initiative, is self-managed and can multi-task
Thrives in a fast-paced, high growth environment
Demonstrated expertise managing projects
Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Ability to set strategic direction and consult with senior management
Experiencing designing Incentive compensation preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills in order to interact with senior leadership
Strong customer service, analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to establish/maintain excellent working relationships with HR business partners and other HR teams
