Job description
Director, Compensation:

Responsible for administering all aspects of Audible’s compensation program. Assumes responsibility for the effective research, evaluation, and establishment of wage/salary grades and pay ranges. Conducts and participates in compensation surveys. Evaluates job scope, determines classification, grades and pay levels, and maintains all related records. Prepares job descriptions in standardized Company format. Reviews recommendations for changes in wages and salaries for conformance with established policies. Assists in the administration of merit rating programs. Works with outside compensation consultants to ensure that Audible’s compensation structure is in line with the market. Performs miscellaneous human resource functions as needed. Keeps management informed of significant problems and area activities.

Primary responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage salary classification and compensation programs.
Prepare job classifications, job descriptions, and salary scale.
Oversee competitive analysis, merit increases and salary structure.
Develop job descriptions for various positions and determine appropriate base pay and salary ranges.
Analyze surveys to ensure appropriate compensation across all departments.
Forecast budget for salary increases.
Advise on salary increase requests.
Research job requirements, structural and functional relationships, job market trends; especially in the Technology Industry.
