Creative Director - Swirl - San Francisco
Job description
Our relationship with Walmart started with a single project one year ago and in less than a year, we were named an agency of record for digital on both Walmart Stores and Walmart.com businesses. We are excited to be engaging in a search for a dedicated Creative Director (CD) to oversee the creative on the business, as well as the creative team.
This is a very exciting opportunity for a seasoned creative who is passionate about digital innovation and its applications for the world’s largest retailer. The CD will be both visionary and hands-on, and able to demonstrate through past work and experience their ability to craft brilliant concepts for a retail account, as well as motivate and inspire a team of art directors, writers and designers.

Responsibilities:
Lead creative development of concepts for client projects across a range of media including but not limited to online banners, microsites, mobile sites, video and occasional printed pieces.
Participate in new business strategic development and ideation on the growing business.
Attend all briefs and internal reviews of projects.
Actively participate and listen to feedback for integration of brief requirements.
Attend client presentations with Swirl and client teams; leading the creative presentation portions.
Work with producers and account teams to make sure all project mandatories and schedules are adhered to thoroughly.
Contribute to agency knowledge bank by sharing, staying abreast of and honing best practices in writing and communications.
Maintain ability as a Creative Director to step back from the work, look at the big picture and communicate a vision to the client and internal team in a clear and concise manner.
Oversee performance management of a team of 10+ creatives.
Desired Skills and Experience
Ten to twelve (10-12) years of experience in an agency environment or a combination of equivalent client-side experience
Retail account experience required
A portfolio with compelling and results-driven digital work samples
Well versed in social media channels and communication strategies.
Commitment to quality, service, and efficiency
Ability to show diplomacy, flexibility, and grace under pressure
Possess excellent interpersonal skills with people at all levels of a business and a general sense of not taking oneself too seriously
Strong command of the Adobe Creative Suite and familiarity with coding languages
Familiarity with digital (online) production processes required
BA/BS in communications-related major desired
Occasional travel to Bentonville, AK for the Stores business and San Bruno, CA for the Walmart.com business
