VP - Sales and Marketing - Spring Footwear - Miami


Job description
The Vice President of Sales is responsible to drive the growth and profitability of the Spring Footwear business. Deliver innovative and strategic solutions to business challenges. Assure participation and partnership of corporate strategies to achieve the company mission and culture that places a premium on continued development of talent at all levels of the organization. This includes sales force, support staff, and key account development. Position has direct responsibility to expand opportunities in the retail environment. Embrace our company vision and build the team and processes to support our plans. This individual will help with human resource, product development, merchandising, pricing strategy, inventory management, marketing, sales objectives, and sales presentations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Develop annual sales and marketing plan in support of organizational strategies and objectives for each business unit.
Provide leadership and direction to the sales team.
Recruit, train, coach and evaluate sales team.
Evaluate performance of team on a regular basis to ensure clarity of performance against objectives.
Communicate the vision of our brands to all members of the team and our retail partners.
Establish, implement and manage strategic sales and marketing program to meet company and customer financial objectives.
Recruiting, training and supervising a national outside sales force and an inside telemarketing support staff.
Work closely with product design, planning, purchasing, marketing, customer service and credit providing direction to improve total customer experience.
Prepare and facilitate bi-annual sales meeting.
Consistently seek out and establish the right distribution channels for our various brands.
Develop, present, and implement program to key accounts to meet customer financial objectives.
Pro-actively manage key accounts and monitor performance on a regular basis.
Negotiate and solve key account issues during season focusing on opportunities to drive business and maximize profitability.
Identify and communicate market needs and opportunities.
Maintain outstanding relationship with all partners.

Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements:

This position requires demonstrated success and 5+ years of sales management experience in the wholesale and retail footwear industry, preferably within the woman’s comfort category.
A documented history of successes needs to be provided, along with key account contacts and professional references.
The individual must be able to effectively build relationships with both internal and external resources.
The individual must have strong leadership, sales, product, business planning, and analytical expertise.
Need to have excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities/opportunities is required.
This person must be in tune to market trends and communicate brand position (both current and future).
Candidate must have a broad functional experience within areas of strategic planning, recruiting and team building, sales and marketing, business and market development, market research, trade shows and advertising.
This position is based at our corporate office in Pompano Beach, FL, with 50% travel required.
