Director - Predictive Analytics - Alliance Data - Columbus
Job description
Summary:
The Predictive Analytics team partners with internal and external clients and data providers, leveraging predictive analytics and advanced statistical techniques to drive strategic thought and effective decision making. The Director of the Predictive Analytics team provides a clear, strategic vision, a plan for bringing actionable, innovative solutions to market, and a continuous focus on the consumer landscape within the revolving credit space.
Responsibilities:
Working with internal leadership and Alliance Data clients to identify and develop new data driven insights that can be understood and implemented to drive marketing strategies and grow customer loyalty
Aligning to the overall business strategy when driving the direction of the team, projects, processes, and research efforts
Providing overall direction to the development of advanced statistical modeling activity and leading the expansion of predictive modeling across Alliance Data’s client base
Acting as a member of the Senior Leadership Team for the broader business, as well as the marketing analytics areas
Providing developmental and managerial leadership to the Predictive Analytics team
Formulating insights, championing and driving insights into action
Enhancing internal relationships to ensure the onbeectives of our clients are being met
Prioritizing and monitoring project progress against goals
Communicating and engaging with key internal business partners and Alliance Data clients to collaboratively solve business problems
Desired Skills and Experience
Minimum Qualifications:
Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in statistics, applied mathematics or other quantitative field.
A minimum of 8 years professional hands-on experience with statistical modeling, data mining, and advanced segmentation using large databases.
A minimum of 5 years proven managerial or supervisory experience
Proven experience building statistical models and predictive analytics for credit cards in areas such as marketing and/or risk.
Proven experience influencing a business or marketing strategy through the application and/or management of advanced statistical techniques and data driven solutions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and good at developing interpersonal relationships.
Highly motivated to achieve and collaborative as well as innovative
Desirable Qualifications:
PhD in Statistics or Economics or other quantitative field (such as Engineering).
CoBrand credit card marketing experience/knowledge
Strong understanding of financial concepts, retail, loyalty and credit programs, consumer behavior, and marketing analytics
Experience in planning, priority settings, and project management skills
Demonstrate superior leadership to the broader business and internal team
Excellent coaching and mentoring skills
Travel 5-10%
