Director of Marketing - Silver Airways - Miami
Job description
The Director of Marketing is responsible for the day-to-day brand management, marketing and advertising initiatives promoting Silver Airways through various distribution channels, including www.silverairways.com. This position is focused on developing marketing strategies, managing internal and third party teams in tactical execution, defining new products and maximizing revenue-generating opportunities. He or she works closely with the Director of Ecommerce and VP Marketing and relies on regular interaction with the following teams: Pricing/Revenue Management, Network Scheduling and Planning, Sales, Distribution, IT, Airports, Inflight and Guest Services.
Essential Responsibilities:
Develop and implement annual marketing plans which provide competitive analysis, market research, brand positioning, strategies and tactics to reach target audiences, and measurement/metrics for success.
Refine and promote the Silver brand to all internal and external stakeholders as primary brand champion.
Define the customer lifecycle and messaging for all consumer touchpoints.
Supervise all internal marketing campaigns and third party advertising efforts, including digital and traditional media.
Continually review research, customer data and web analytics, advising of better methods for profiling, targeting, acquisition and retention.
Serve as thought leader, developing innovative solutions to drive email and social media growth.
Work with Ecommerce and IT teams to develop and grow loyalty programs.
Identify and launch new products and strategic partnerships to generate ancillary revenue.
Lead development of internal processes for product development and continuous improvement.
Manage internal Marketing team and third party consultant/agency relationships.
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field is required; MBA is preferred. This position requires a strong marketing and/or advertising background with previous airline, travel industry and/or ad agency experience. Candidates must have demonstrated strong leadership, business management and analytics skills. Must also have outstanding oral and written communication skills, and ability to excel in a fast-paced setting. Previous experience in start-up environments a plus. The ideal candidate should possess 10+ years of relevant experience in e-commerce, digital and traditional advertising with a proven ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams.
Full-time position with some travel required.
