Job description
Bigcommerce, the fastest growing SaaS e-Commerce platform in the world, is looking for an ambitious Business Development Director to join our growing Strategic Business Development Team.

As the Business Development Director, Strategic Partnerships you will qualify, negotiate and close high-level Strategic Partnerships that significantly impact the bottom line revenue of Bigcommerce, leading us to global domination.

What you will do:

Lead discovery, qualification and execution of new strategic alliance partnerships
Provide key contribution to design and implementation of the Strategic Business Development strategy through strategic business development skillsets, knowledge and existing relationships
Help refine the SBD strategic partner framework & criteria creating a repeatable sales and acquisition strategy
Assist in existing pipeline for strategic partners successfully moving prospects through key sales stages of research, discovery and qualification through to contracting
Identify and create target list of prospects that fit within SBD partner framework for acquisition
Own partnership business case and ROI analysis for prioritization of opportunities
Collaborate with SBD team on pipeline opportunities and partner shortlist to adequately plan and manage internal resources

Desired Skills and Experience
Who you are:

Proven track record of qualifying, scoping and closing revenue generating partner programs
Outstanding organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on key milestones
Experience working in an eCommerce and/or SaaS organization
Bachelors’ degree or equivalent years of experience
Excellent communication and relationship building skills
Motivated, goal oriented, persistent and a skilled negotiator
Thrive in a fast paced, cross functional environment
Handle stressful situations and deadline pressures as if ice water runs through your veins
Despise micro-management. Plan and carry out responsibilities with minimal direction
