Vice President - Business Development - Facilities - Sodexo - Chicago


Job description

Sodexo is currently searching for a Vice President, Business Development – Facilities. This position will cover a territory from the Great lakes to the Mid-Atlantic. The ideal candidate will reside within the region.

The Vice President - Business Development - Facilities is an executive level sales position that is responsible for executing the corporate Quality of Life Solutions strategy to sell large, complex national and / or multi-site facility management outsourcing contracts and to provide qualifying support to local channel sales team members in the key knowledge and skills associated with selling facilities business on smaller/local opportunities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing an effective business plan that will grow, expand and/or retain business within the Corporate Services division. S/he will be responsible for strategy, sales, operations review, financial results, internal and external communications, training, and collaborative planning with Sodexo senior management. Another important responsibility will be targeting and developing relationships with new clients in order to strengthen future sales potential.

Working at all levels of the client organization, the Vice President – Business Development – Facilities will be the focal point for contract negotiation and closing the sales.

The ideal candidate will have:

Will need to have a long and successful track record as a Sales executive with a minimum of five years of experience selling large, complex, multi-million dollar deals which involve integrated facilities management services at multiple sites, involving multiple decision makers.
Ability to execute against strategic sales plans that are consistent with the goals, objectives and philosophies of Sodexo.
A demonstrated ability to target and engage with contacts at all levels of potential client organizations, with a particular emphasis on the ability to understand big business issues, create innovative solutions and successfully conduct "top to top" deals, with strong negotiations skills.
Capability to execute new client prospecting and qualifying at C-Level along with tactical sales with business intelligence, forecasting and ROI analysis.
Strong leader who exceeds performance objectives and proven leadership with developed business acumen as well as a “relationship builder.”
Strong business contacts and relationships.
Strategic and execution skill set demonstrated by past experience.
Ability to raise organizational opportunity into customer needs, identifying the best opportunities for revenue growth.
Excellent interpersonal, presentation, communication, negotiation and training skills are required.
Ability to energize a sales team in building sales with the skill of leading by example, inspiring confidence, trust and respect in others.
Entrepreneurial skill set.
The capability to travel up to 50-60% of the time.
