Quality Assurance & Production Management (QAPM)

QAPM is a newly formed division that provides Quality Assurance and Production Management services to all clients within the Firm. QAPM partners with the development teams to ensure seamless technology delivery to our clients: ISGT, CPT, MSIM, MSWM Tech, ED&S, and TIR. QAPM’s goal is to deliver a first-class technology platform by ensuring top-notch service within QA and Production Management. This division will support the evolution of technology platforms and tools, manage and maintain our production plant, and ensure the implementation and adherence to proper operational controls to manage risk.

Securities Reference Data (SRD) provides product data for financial instruments to Morgan Stanley's global Institutional Securities Business. Its data is critical to the front to back sales and trading, operations, finance, risk and regulatory business processes. The role is to lead the testing of all reference data for Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives, Corporate Actios, Commodities etc. The testing team comprises of full-time employees, and contractor resources located globally.

The ideal candidate should have 10-15 years of testing and technical experience with at least 5 years leading testing teams globally focused on testing of securities. The candidate will be expected to work very closely with the senior management and key stakeholders in the technology and business organizations to ensure the product deliverables meet the business needs. The candidate would be involved in defining and executing the test strategies for all products delivered by the SRD organization for the firm. The candidate will work closely with the development and support teams to drive the SDLC process and partnership with the these teams to deliver quality products to the users. The candidate will act as a change agent and be willing to challenge status quo to improve the overall software delivery

The SRD environment includes Linux OS, Sybase and DB2 databases. PERL and Java are the predominant programming languages.

Qualifications
The key qualifications required include but not limited to
- 10-15 years of testing experience of which at least 5 years of leading testing of financial instruments
- Lead on-shore and off-shore teams of upto 20 professionals
- Drive test strategy for Securities Reference Data
- Drive test automation across the teams
- Partner closely with the Horizontal Center of Excellence organization to drive synergies in work done in other QA teams
- Detail working knowledge of Quality Center and HP ALM 11
- Technical skills in PERL, DB SQL scripting
- Knowledge of back-end DB testing
- Proven track record of stake-holder management
- Strong verbal and written communication
