Regional Vice President - Sales - Condusiv Technologies - San Francisco
Job description
The RVP, Sales is responsible for selling Condusiv Technologies’ products within an assigned territory (Northern California, Oregon, Washington) to new customers while working closely with our established channel of solution providers and distributors to achieve the assigned sales quota.
The RVP, Sales will prospect and develop new relationships with Enterprise Accounts, Data Centers and large IT sites and work with these prospects to secure and scale revenues within the territory, while ensuring these new accounts are 100% satisfied with our software solutions and service.
The successful candidate will be a “hunter”, and he/she must be able to demonstrate a history of success in building and developing client relationships, selling technically-oriented software, and managing sales engagements from initial contact to conclusion.
The ideal candidate will have a track record of success in selling Storage Solutions, Virtualization Solutions, or Enterprise Software directly to Enterprise or Data Center accounts and partnering with the channel to deliver.
BUSINESS STRUCTURE & DOTTED LINE INFLUENCE:
Reporting to the SVP, Global Sales the RVP, Sales will work closely with a team dedicated to the the North West region. This team is comprised of three professionals, an Inside Sales Representative, a Field Sales Engineer, and a Channel Account Manager.
In addition, the RVP, Sales will be supported by the Market Development Team, Customer Service Team, Technical Support Team, and Sales Operations to assist with smaller transactions and ensure routine administrative activities are addressed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Leverage your existing knowledge of the North West region and your personal Rolodex to identify large scale oppurtunities that could benefit from the Condusiv suite of products.
Absorb the existing pipeline of current and prospective accounts within the region and manage the sales engagement through to closure.
Conduct research within the assigned territory to identify additional large IT sites with a goal of sourcing the key decision makers and presenting Condusiv Technologies’ products.
Turn over newly established accounts to your Inside Sales Manager, who will manage the customer going forward with a focus on their complete satisfaction and so they continue to purchase more Condusiv products, technologies and services.
Establish a strong working relationship with the Sales Representatives working on behalf of Condusiv within the Channel to source new oppurtunities and increase sales volume.
Travel within the multi-state territory to meet with prospective customers and channel partner Account Representatives.
Maintain an in-depth technical understanding of the Condusiv suite of products to allow for high level conversations with IT managers, System Administrators, CTO's and CIO's.
Leverage your Field Sales Engineer when technical discussions scale beyond your abilities and when proof of concepts are required.
Ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
Desired Skills and Experience
Proven success in building and developing client relationships selling technically-oriented software products from initial contact to the conclusion of the sales process.
Excellent communication skills, sales techniques and product knowledge to close sales that result in satisfied customers that continue to purchase more Condusiv technologies, products and services.
A track record of success in corporate software sales including experience in building and managing partner interactions as required in channel relationships.
A Rolodex of past customers is of high value.
Good computer skills.
At least 5 years' sales experience in a similar role selling to medium and large sites.
Must be willing to travel to support sales activities within a multi-state territory.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Marketing or related field, or comparable training or experience.
