Product Manager - Community - Viki - San Francisco

Viki, often referred to as ‘the global Hulu,’ is a global video streaming site with TV shows, movies and more, subtitled into more than 160 languages by a community of avid fans. With over two billion videos viewed and more than 450 million words translated, Viki brings global entertainment to nearly 30 million users worldwide.

We are in search of a Product Manager - Community to lead community-facing products, helping us to create deceptively easy features that make Viki an even more fun and addictive place to watch and subtitle videos. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Drive subtitling activity through product
Help set product direction and priorities for community features based on goals
Work closely with community and engineering teams to iterate on features
Manage the design/build/test/release process from beginning to end
Process, analyze and interpret data to make product decisions
Strive for design and product perfection (but love to release and iterate)

Desired Skills and Experience

BS/MS degree in math or computer science preferred
4+ years experience developing consumer Internet products
Experienced in designing simple and intuitive user interfaces; ability to create examples through wireframes and mock ups
Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to interact with both technical and nontechnical people
Loves solving puzzles!
Loves figuring out complex problems and coming up with efficient solutions
A love for tech innovation, but also recognizes that you're designing for a non-techie crowd
A love for online communities and social websites
Experience working in start-up and/or media company environments
