VMware has entered into the Infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) market with vCloud Hybrid Service (vCHS). The next couple of years are critical to our success in this emerging transformation of our hybrid cloud offering and company position in the IaaS space, and we need a seasoned marketing leader to create and drive the vCHS online web business. This person will report directly to the VP marketing, vCHS. Primary responsibilities will be to create the vCHS web strategy and execution.
Job Responsibilities:

* Build a web strategy to drive the online business for vCloud Hybrid Service globally

* Establish a great customer experience for users to search, research, trial and purchase online

* Integrate digital marketing elements of search, social media and web to drive customer demand

* Collaborate with the VMware Web marketing team to leverage vmware.com for click-throughs

* Build a world-class marketing web presence and closed loop ecommerce transactional engine

* Work closely with regional sales and marketing to establish vCHS international online site(s)

* Drive online demand generation to the vCHS site and optimize lead conversion to subscription revenue

* Work closely with lead development reps and inside sales to assure strong lead follow up

* Establish a strong data analytics discipline to gain insights for improved marketing investments

* Track KPIs and present regularly to executive business stakeholders

Qualifications

* 10-15 yrs+ marketing experience, including Web marketing

* Computing experience (cloud, virtualization, security); Cloud IaaS experience highly desired

* Retail ecommerce site experience

* Highly entrepreneurial with a high level of passion, energy, dedication, and an unrelenting drive

* Collaborative with other internal marketing teams

* Ability to manage large marketing budgets and agencies

* Seasoned people manager who will coach and develop team

* Sales oriented marketing leader who can roll up their sleeves to get things done

* Creative, intelligent, and self-confident

* Metrics driven

* Willing to travel (25%)

* Location: US Remote
