Job description

RealWorld Marketing is looking for a bright, energetic and trustworthy candidate ready to use their digital skills in the Automotive industry. Applicant must be able to work in a face-paced and constantly changing agency environment. This candidate would work closely with other departments, and report to the agency’s Digital Advertising Director.

As a Web Director, your main responsibility is for the production, modification and maintenance of websites and web application’s user interfaces with third party vendors and resources. This involves working closely with designers, in using semantic mark-up language i.e. XTMTL/CSS, to turn their static Photoshop designs into working browser based web pages.

Responsibilities

• Providing accurate times estimates on all assignments.

• Taking deadlines seriously and the ability to work with short deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Create custom landing pages based on a provided design.

• Understand technical direction and execute an assignment with little supervision.

• Developing Digital Ads (Flash, static, HTML5)

• Social Promotion Development with provided directives for implementation.

• Assist in rotating digital ads if needed for campaigns.

• Creative Department assistance if needed.

Requirements

• Good HTML, XHTML, CSS programming skills

• Coding valid XHTML and CSS mark-up

• Developing cross-browser and cross-platform compatible solutions and test before launch

• Beginner level JavaScript programming skills

• Some experience with jQuery

• Knowledge of working with JavaScript frameworks to create rich interactive content

• Knowledge of emerging web technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3

• Some experience working with version control systems such as SVN & GIT

• Knowledge of HTML Email best practice desirable

• Flash knowledge and experience helpful but not required

• Required work experience: It’s more about what your technical capability and demonstrable experience, the types of project size you’ve worked on, your knowledge of UX and IA, your ability to turn around a project, and also your strengths in advance Javascript UI Development.
