Director - Revenue Management- Field Execution - Sysco - Houston
Job description
The Field Execution leader is responsible for developing, planning, deploying and measuring the implementation of a variety of commercial initiatives that are aimed to drive profit improvement for our Operating Companies. He/She will work closely with leadership at Corporate, Operating Companies, Region and Market staff, Revenue Management and with external partners to drive people, process and solutions that are aligned to initiatives designed to drive profit improvement. In addition, the Director will be responsible for ensuring the successful rollout and implementation of initiatives and will serve as the direct link between the Corporate Revenue Management team and the Operating Companies. He/she will have management accountability and responsibility for the scope of work as it relates to the deployment of broad based commercial initiatives and will act as a single pipeline for planning field engagement, running pilot activities at Operating Companies and building capabilities.
This leader will be responsible for the development, engagement, deployment and execution of Operating Company focused commercial initiatives. This will include, but not be limited to:
Representing an enterprise-wide view of the business, especially as it relates to the engagement with Operating Company senior leadership in advancing commercial initiatives
Collaborating with Leadership, Corporate and Operating Company Business, Revenue Management, Sales and FP&A teams to develop appropriate solutions to address business challenges
Deploying and executing all phases of Revenue Management initiatives, from design through measurement
Acting as key point of contact for Operating Company and Corporate Revenue Management and other potential commercial functions and representing their needs and interests
Driving alignment with OPCO leadership on approaches to successfully execute initiatives
Serve as the key conduit and pipeline between Corporate and field/OPCO teams
Collaborating, engaging, influencing and directing the work of OPCO sales and merchandising leadership on key initiatives, with a broader relationship network
Contributing to the achievement of financial and non financial goals and objectives set forth by leadership
PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:
Experience with field execution, sales and merchandising, capability building, and engagement with field leadership and operations
Demonstrates well developed influencing skills with the ability to easily connect in a credible manner with field and headquarter leadership
Possesses an appreciation for strategy, processes, capabilities, enabling technologies, and measurement
Able to recognize operational issues, functional interdependencies and cross-silo redundancies and drive practical solutions
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations
Able to drive consensus among key stakeholders with diverse needs and interests
Proven track record of working under tight deadlines and producing recognized results
Thinks and acts proactively rather than reactively and directs resources and stakeholders accordingly
Able to lead and manage a team with diverse knowledge, skills and abilities forward to achieve common goals and objectives
Desired Skills and Experience
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION:
4 year bachelor’s degree required or equivalent related work experience in lieu of degree.
REQUIRED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
5+ years of experience in a Revenue Management, Sales or Sales Support/Functional role
5+ years of experience working in a project, results-driven or field engagement type role is strongly preferred
3-5 years leadership experience in a large, complex organization. Preferably in field sales, operations, merchandising, consumer packaged goods or direct sales delivery
Previous field sales, Revenue Management or pricing experience
Previous implementation skills considered a plus
