Director - Relationship Management - Paradysz - Minneapolis


Job description
As Director, Insert & Print Media, you will play a critical and strategic role as both a key client touch point and a strategic internal lead in helping develop and manage the Line of Business. This position has broad-reaching influence and exposure across the organization as well as within the industry. Team-building, communication, and a voice in solutions-development are core functions of this position, and include exposure to the broader corporate offerings.

Emphasis is to meet client objectives through a focus on strategy, channel management and development; channel-level is the focus for this job role, campaign level is the focus for the account management role. This position leads the channel development for existing clients and has a critical role in the successful closing, onboarding and performance of new clients. Leveraging your strong client relationships and understanding of their business you will identify and communicate opportunities for additional engagements across the Paradsyz/PM Digital Suite of services.

You will be heavily involved in your client relationships -- developing and overseeing the management of successful, ROI-driven marketing plans. You will be expected to retain and grow business through the provision of proactive, quality client service and satisfaction, and to identify and implement solutions across Paradysz products and services.

Internally, as part of the Leadership team you will contribute to corporate business strategy, training, and the implementation of business plans. Externally, you will play an active, visible, role within the industry.

Responsibilities:

Team:
Oversee the building, training and coaching of your team of Managers to deliver on expectations.
Foster direct reports growth and performance; delegate appropriate responsibilities to direct reports, using performance management tools as a guide.
Identify account and sector/channel trends and internal training needs.
Foster and build strong team relationships with critical support areas such as Media Center, Tech, Marketing, Research and Billing.
Client:
Drive strategic direction of accounts in your group by creating and maintaining dialogue with clients, in collaboration with your staff, on: marketing program development, analysis, strategy and tactical implementation.
Evaluate, develop and execute client specific tactical business plans in order to meet program deliverables.
Maintain positive ongoing senior-level client contact, able to articulate strategic vision, engagement status & solutions recommendations within presentation environments
Be knowledgeable in other Paradysz service areas such as Direct Mail, Analytics, Creative, Print Production, and Digital to introduce those services and bring in practice expertise.
Practice Development:
Work closely with Group VP and Business Development teams around new business initiatives
Develop and maintain vendor relationships at appropriate contact level
Keep current on key media, competitive, and industry based knowledge. Communicate and train full team on relevant information
Work with key media partners and industry associations to identify potential solutions/opportunities for clients
Work with Practice Area VP and Marketing to identify areas and opportunities where we can better market our services
Revenue:
Oversee budget setting and revenue management of accounts within your group.
Deliver on pro-forma forecasting, budgeting, reporting and optimization of success metrics.
Engage with Business Development to uncover and develop new client opportunities; facilitate onboarding new clients
Thought Leadership & Business Development:
Must be well read, able to communicate verbally and in writing to understand our client's business and sector and compel them toward a result
Be aware of and understand the impact of industry trends and developments
Be proactive in identifying, communicating, and implementing opportunities to improve the business including; product development, marketing, process improvements and technology
Other duties and projects as assigned
Desired Skills and Experience
5-8 year’s experience in agency or media related field, with significant client-facing responsibilities. Experience managing staff and driving expansion of client engagement strongly preferred.
4-year college degree required
