Corporate Social Responsibility Manager - Motorola Mobility - Sunnyvale


Job description
PURPOSE: Provide thought leadership, initiative, and organizational support as a member of the Corporate Social Responsibility Team in discharging its objectives of:

Implementing a companywide strategic corporate social responsibility (CSR) program.

Integrating CSR principles and practices throughout the company.

Ensuring that the company’s CSR efforts create lasting value by enhancing business performance, reducing the environmental impact of its operations and empowering employees and their communities.

DESCRIPTION:

Manage global CSR communications program (internal, external, public reporting)

Research and recommend best practices within the area of Corporate Social Responsibility and benchmark prevailing trends

Develop reporting, decisions, and results of CSR related goals.

Aid in the development of action plans, targets and policies associated with CSR.

Manage the relationship with third party monitoring firms including tracking performance and cost management.

Serve as a liaison for internal questions, suggestions or concerns related to the CSR program.

Travel to business units and provides support on CSR related issues.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EDUCATION:

5+ years of Corporate Social Responsibility experience.

Experience in developing and implementing social responsibility programs, policy and reporting

Experience in managing both internal and external CSR reporting

Experience in CSR training for company employees, suppliers and workers

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Work in an office environment.

Frequent sitting and operating a computer.

Travel 15-25%

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Understanding of the global CSR landscape and best practices.

Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

Ability to navigate the organization and build relationships with business leaders and outside organizations.

Knowledge of business practices and key processes.

Ability to travel as required.

PC skills including proficiency in MS Office products, SharePoint, Access; database development a plus.

Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate with all levels of personnel, as well as external suppliers and organizations.

Ability to execute tasks independently and maintain confidentiality with sensitive data.

Excellent organization and time management skill to handle multiple tasks in an environment with large volume of data and paperwork assuring attention to detail.
