Seattle based Solid Ground (www.solid-ground.org)Seattle based Solid Ground is seeking a Resource Development Director to createand drive a comprehensive strategic resource development plan designed totransform, expand and diversify the agency’s donor base resulting in larger,more impactful gifts. The Directorwill have an opportunity to build a funding model that is connected to theoverall organizational strategy focused on developing a holistic service model– helping people from “intake to thrive”.
The Resource Development Director leads a 6-person department which raisesapproximately $6 million annually including, grants of all types, individualcontributions, events, and other fundraising efforts. Specifically, theResource Development Director will carry an active portfolio of major donors (giftsof $50,000+) and will be a key contributor in identifying new funding sourcesfor the agency.
As an important member of the agency’s leadership team, the Resource DevelopmentDirector attends weekly executive leadership team meetings and participates inagency decision-making at the highest levels.
Desired Skills & Experience
Candidates should have 7 to 10 years of experience in development, ideally including fiveyears in a senior management position with specific responsibility for majorgifts and/or public sector fundraising and oversight of grant writing, eventsmanagement and public relations. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
