Key Responsibilities:
Job Summary Responsible for pension strategic planning for active employee groups and retirees. Responsible for global severance strategy, policies, processes, and tools 
Partners with Corporate Treasury to facilitate Benefits Policy Committee meetings / governance processes. Participates in labor relations strategy development.
· Leads the development and evaluation of the organization’s strategic pension planning for active employee groups and retirees.
· Responsible for oversight for pension governance.
· Directs, and partners with, CBS for implementation and on-going administration of pension programs and to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities.
· Partners with US Government Relations staff to monitor and influence legislation related to pensions and severance.
· Develops severance policies.
· Directs, and partners with, CBS for implementation and on-going administration of severance.
· Participates in the development of in-country labor relations strategies related to pension and severance.
· Participates in labor relations negotiations preparations for pension and severance.
· Participates in merger, acquisition, and/or divestiture initiatives for pension and severance issues.
· Participates in joint work review and priority setting of the steering committees for outsourced pension and severance program providers
· Participates in industry networking groups to assess benefits market trends and best practices.

· Responsible for severance strategy
· Partners with Corporate Treasury to plan, execute, and document Benefits Policy Committee meetings and governance processes.
· Leads change management and communication planning for new strategies, policies, processes and/or tools in area of responsibility.

Skills:
· Leadership Skills rise in importance in more senior roles.
· Benefits Design, Strategy and Administartion – Applies knowledge to decisions effecting benefit plan design. Possesses a broad understanding of alternate benefit approaches for voluntary and mandatory benefits.
· Employment Law – Has a good understanding of employment laws that frequently impact the workplace. Has experience making appropriate decisions and consultation with an expert in the field.
· Champion Change - Challenges the status quo and champions new initiatives; acts as a catalyst of change and stimulates others to change; paves the way for needed changes; manages implementation effectively.
· Develop Communication Plans – Knowledge of current communication methods. Provides input to and implements the communication plan for a specific process or policy. Knows the audience and the tools used to reach the audience.
· Finance Internal Controls - Understands the importance of finance internal controls, capable of identifying, evaluating and documenting internal controls. Understands the underlying principles, techniques, and procedures of this skill.
· Project Management– This person is capable of effectively managing complex projects with little to no guidance 

Experience and Education:
College, university, or equivalent degree in required.
Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation: Base salary commensurate with experience plus bonus.
