We are seeking someone who can Direct and oversee all activities related to production manufacturing; procurement, direct sourcing, facilities maintenance, quality control, and inventory control to obtain optimum production and
utilization of human capital, machines, and equipment in the manufacturing of Solatube products and timely delivery to customers. You’ll also direct sustaining engineering to drive product enhancements related to all assemblies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Participates in executive strategy planning for overall company operations. Communicates with Executive level.
Oversees management of production in the most cost-effective manner within quality standards. Responsible for achieving optimum labor and least amount of overhead and raw material costs.
Oversees materials management and sourcing while monitoring cost and vendor qualification. Ensures accurate inventory levels by working closely with warehouse and distribution personnel.
Directs activities related to shipping/receiving functions at warehouses and ensures they are operating at levels which meets customer demand and at established budgets and delivery times.
Directs activities so that approved products are manufactured on schedule and within quality standards along with meeting cost objectives.
Reviews production and operating reports while defining metrics and driving accountability.
Resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
Ensures fixed assets are preserved. Initiates recommendations on purchases of new equipment and improvements to plant property.
Develops, monitors and reports on operating costs within functional areas. Alerts management of cost overruns in
relationship to direct labor and materials.
Determines nature of technical problems through FMEA and other trouble shooting techniques. Arrives at possible solutions, such as product redesign, substitution of material or parts, or rearrangement of
parts or subassemblies.
Directs, plans and develops a cohesive production environment focused on continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing principles.
Works closely with Code Compliance Officer to ensure that materials and solutions coincide with current regulatory approvals.
Manages budget and controls expenses effectively.
Partners with Product Management Team to understand market needs and develop solutions.
Directs and participates in ongoing safety training.
Hires, trains, and develops staff effectively. Takes corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with Human Resources Department and Company policy.
Evaluates and reviews subordinates in timely and appropriate manner. Monitors employee development plans and ongoing individual performances.
Communicates effectively with peers, subordinates, management, and external contacts.
Completes accurately and in a timely manner all reports as required by the Company.
Attends meetings and classes as required.
Performs all duties safely.
Performs all related duties as assigned.
Desired Skills & Experience
Degree in Engineering or Business or comparable training and experience required.
Minimum Eight (8) years experience in similar position.
Excellent communication, organizational and mathematical skills required. Computer competency in word processing, spreadsheet, and database required.
Experience in Lean manufacturing process and techniques, including Kan Ban and Auto-replenishment systems.
Ability to analyze and prioritize.
Ability to visualize.
Team leadership skills.
Valid driver’s license and proof of insurability.
