Senior Vice President Marketing Calypso Technology - San Francisco


Job Description

Calypso Technology is seeking a Senior Vice President, Marketing who will have global responsibility for all strategic and operational aspects of the marketing function: Market Segmentation and Analysis, Target Marketing, Quantitative Analysis, Strategic Planning, Promotional Communications, Sales Tools, and Channel Support. This position will lead and manage a team of Business Development Managers who work across functional area boundaries to drive the commercial success (including achievement of overlay revenue targets) of their assigned products, solutions, and partnerships. The Senior Vice President Marketing will work closely with the Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Professional Services organizations to develop and execute go-to-market plans that will meet Calypso Technology's revenue and profit growth objectives. This position reports directly to the President and is a member of the senior leadership team.

The successful candidate will be a change agent capable of building relationships, and with a natural ability to develop trust and credibility with the senior leadership team, with all levels of the Calypso Technology organization, and with customers, prospects, partners, press, and industry analysts. The successful candidate will be a proven leader in articulating a business strategy, marshalling consensus and support within an organization to execute that strategy with precision and focus, and create broad industry recognition, mindshare, and excitement with our clients and partners.

Responsibilities
Createand execute Strategic Plans, both LongRange Plans (LRP) and Annual Operating Plans (AOP)
Identifysignificant market opportunities (deep wells) and, for each, measure market sizeand build plans for acquiring market share and revenue consistent with overall companygrowth and profit objectives.
Fortargeted deep wells, partner with the Sales, Development, and ProfessionalServices organizations to create product and sales strategies consistent withplanned market share and revenue objectives.
Understandcustomer needs and the value inherent in their solution; articulate theassociated Calypso value proposition, and define the product pricing strategy.
Develop customersegmentation.
Perform win/lossand competitive analyses, identifying gaps and opportunities and the company’sstrategic response
Providethe company with rich Market Intelligence and Voice of Customer (VOC) researchand analysis.
Performthe marketing support functions including developing effective sales tools,promotional communications, and driving Industry Recognition (Awards).
Leadthe global product launch process that will bring Calypso Technology’s newproducts to market with a great deal of precision, attention, and support inthe field – including revenue planning, demand generation, salesforce readiness, and services readiness.
Developand implement a global strategicpartner /channel program that ensuresthe Company’s strategic partners are properly trained,informed, motivated and managed as neededto achieve partner / channel revenue goals.
Develop,lead, manage, and mentor the Business Development and Corporate Marketing teamsto execute and meet/exceed quarterly organizational objectives that include anoverlay revenue goal.
Desired Skills & Experience

10+ years Strategic Marketing experience
Global (EMEA, APAC, Americas) experience.
Deep domain expertise in Capital Markets.
Technology industry experience preferred.
Proven experience in delivering new products or solutions to new markets
Proven experience in the development, implementation, and management of strategic partner / channel programs.
Commercially savvy and accustomed to independent customer meetings in support of sales activity while constantly assessing customer needs.
Proven experience collaborating and partnering directly with C-level management, board of directors, and senior management team.
Able to think strategically at a high level but implement at a detailed level.
Strong business acumen, creativity and problem solving skills combined with effective management skills, and the ability to lead through influence and integrity.
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
An executive with the appropriate level of drive and “toughness” to effectively manage multiple demanding and critical projects and relationships in fast-paced environment – ensuring that results and deadlines are achieved without damaging morale.
Bachelors Degree or equivalent required. MastersDegree preferred.
