Job Summary:
Leads cross-platform IP/OTT video soft client architecture design, and provides overall technical leadership, develops
and implements soft client
strategies and program management.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops, plans and executes Huawei software cross-platform IP/OTT video soft client strategies
and solution (short-term and long-term)
- Primary focus is: a) identifying the key paths to the technology solutions and core
competitiveness, b) introducing the advanced technologies and best practices in the industry;
- Leading the architecture design of cross-platform soft client and guiding the engineering
team to complete HLD/LLD;
- Tracks the progress of industry(standards organizations, key competitors, etc), identifies,
analyzes and evaluates technical solutions and key technologies
- Mines the patent of cross-platform IP/OTT video soft client technologies and helps building the pool of patents for the
overseas market;
- Support key customers, focusing on the identification and contributes to the knowledge and understanding of the technical needs and customer’s requirements and challenges
- Develop, build and manage direct and remote research teams on the implementation and execution of these key
technologies
- Drive technical evolution of Huawei software throughout the organization, and the key responsibility for technical training;
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years related experience which includes but is not limited to in-depth R&D
experience in IP and OTT video, engaging in cross-platform soft client architecture and system design in Telecom
or Internet domain
- Knowledgeable about the market requirements, competitive benchmarking, industry trends
and technical requirements of cross-platform IP and OTT video soft client, be familiar with
the mainstream OTT Video platform architecture and technical solutions;
- Proven successful experience in the cross-platform IP and OTT video soft client architecture design and multiple operating system(OS) integration framework,
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of IP and OTT video key technologies, including
but not limited to mainstream HTTP adaptive streaming technologies, content protection, software clients, Man-Machine interface design and the details of each given technology;
- Demonstrated technical planning and leadership experience
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of customer requirement.
