Job Description
This position is responsible for 1) the planning processes in the International calendar 2) provision of analytical expertise and report writing for each of processes 3) providing the regions with on-going support and enhancement with their planning and 4) working in collaboration with the systems teams and management to develop and implement new analytical tools and processes.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
Reporting to VIMN SVP, Financial Planning and Analysis
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for management and delivery of all VIMN planning processes including Budgets, Estimates, Long Range Plans
Provided detail guidance & instructions to MTVN International for every planning cycle outlining the key deliverables, financial targets, material changes in process and presentation expectations
Management and communication, in conjunction with Viacom, Domestic and General Accounting, of the planning calendar for VIMN financial community
Prepares consolidated Financial Book for all VIMN Budgets and Estimates to Senior Management following every Budget or Estimate planning cycle
Create and manage an automated International reporting package designed to improve of key performance indicators and other cost / revenue business drivers
Support NY Management and Strategy groups in delivering Presentations decks to Viacom and VIMN management teams
Responsible for working with the business to constantly identify and monitor risks & opportunities
Responsibility for the input and management of any centrally held tasks, adjustments or & budgets
Responsible for managing daily operations and responding to ad hoc management requests
Liaison with MTVN General Accounting to ensure forecasting basis is in line with MTVN Policy
Oversight of the International Staff Cost Planning (ISCP) tool for consolidation and preparation of headcount and compensation analysis
Provision of on-going training in order to improve the abilities and expertise of the VIMN planning teams and ensure “best-practice” for all of VIMN Finance
Responsible for driving improved awareness below OI and enhancing BTL management reporting
Working in collaboration with Treasury to establish cash planning processes
Liaison manager with Viacom tax and manager for International's tax planning processes
Oversight of the allocation process ensuring allocation managers, systems team and allocation clients collaborate
Finance lead for the MTVNI Affiliate peer leadership structure providing global reporting and analytics to drive the business
Desired Skills & Experience
Preferred Skill-sets
CPA qualified (or equivalent)
Strong analytical, communication, presentation and management skills
At least 8 - years relevant work experience
Experience of supervising a small team, setting objectives and monitoring performance.
Experience working with analytics systems
Commercially focused with a client service approach.
Confidence in dealing and building relationships with all levels of management.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
