TripAdvisor has an exciting new opportunity for Director of Green Practices. This person will be responsible for designing, championing and executing a fully integrated environmental strategy for TripAdvisor, with the mission of promoting more responsible tourism by using the power of the TripAdvisor community to bring greater transparency on green practices in the global travel market.

What You'll Do:
Specific responsibilities include:
Directing all work, globally, related to developing the TripAdvisor environmental program to raise awareness on green practices in the hospitality community.
Defining the strategy, developing and socializing a comprehensive program to measure the impact of the hotel community’s environmental footprint and establishing scaleable programs and processes to baseline and continuously measure that footprint harnessing the power of the TripAdvisor community.
Researching and driving business and executive support for new opportunities for gaining efficiency, testing implementation of programs, and launching other innovative related sustainability efforts.
Developing and executing the strategy around innovative partnerships with other leading companies and organizations in the responsible tourism, balancing corporate priorities and internal stakeholder needs.
Serving as an external spokesperson for TripAdvisor’s environmental programs
What We Seek:
Bachelor's degree - Master's or beyond preferred
8-10 years of relevant experience developing and managing a sustainability strategy in a large company
Unparalleled ability to influence, evangelize and coalition build at all levels, including both internal and external executives as well as outside organizations
In-depth expertise with sustainability principles, issues, landscape and players
Proven experience ‘selling in' ideas and concepts and getting buy in from multiple stakeholders
Flexibility, open mindedness, collaborative nature, and willingness to embrace ambiguity and speed-to-market absolutely essential
Outstanding verbal and written communications
Strong public speaking skills
